It's just 300m from door to shore and that's a level walk which you can even do barefoot!
Tanglin is a light and airy detached non-estate bungalow, perfect for relaxed holidays or as a base for more strenuous activities such as surfing , walking or cycling. Set back from the road and with a total plot size of about 1/4 acre it is unlike your average holiday accommodation.
With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably accommodates six.
The beach at Widemouth Bay (pronounced locally as 'Widmuth') is recommended in the MCS 'Good Beach Guide' offers something for everyone. There's good surfing, a large sandy area in the middle as well as rock pools and interesting rock formations to either side.
The large garden on three sides of the house gives children plenty of space to run around and offers more privacy than the beach as well as being more sheltered and the chance to get out of the sun should you wish.
A local shop just 400m away on the same site as the Beach house Hotel with its Break Bar and The Bay View Inn just 600m away mean that you might not even use the car until it's time to leave. Buses stop near the beach with a surprisingly good service both to Bude and south towards Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel and on to Wadebridge. Changing at Camelford enables Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock to be reached. These bus services are ideal for those wanting to walk stretches of the South West coastpath in just one direction.
The bungalow has a conventional layout with the benefit of a large hallway separating the lounge / diner and separate kitchen at the front of the house from the bedrooms at the back of the house. This layout is perfect for families with younger children as parents won't have to tiptoe around the house once the children are in bed.
WiFi works throughout the house and is also extended to the patio area. Broadband with over 30Mbps download speed and around 6-7Mbps upload. Both the dining table and dressing table in the main bedroom can be used as working space if required.
We have a strict 'No Smoking, No Vaping and No Pets' policy. We will also only let Tanglin to couples and family groups.
